As part of the Jessani Family Group, Farjess has earned its reputation as being the supplier of choice in North America. Our team is ready to help you select the right steel for your next project or undertaking. You will find our prices competitive and product superior. Farjess on-going investment in both technology and people creates a positive dynamic that supports our continued success.
Our inventory has a wide range of grades offering commercial grades through Advanced High Strength Steels “AHSS”. Hot rolled steel is made by rolling slabs of hot steel into coils at specified thicknesses. As a result of hot rolling, the steel carries scale (surface oxide). Acid pickling is used to remove the scale and the pickled steel is oiled to prevent oxidation.
Manufactured from hot rolled coils. Pickled to remove scale / surface oxide. Cold reduced in a cold mill to the specified thickness. Further processing may include annealing and temper rolling for formability and surface texture, and tension levelling for flatness.
Galvanized material is produced on continuous hot dip galvanizing lines by passing coils through a bath of molten zinc. The zinc coatings on these products help reduces corrosion. Increased surface quality can be achieved through further processing. Product can be ordered in the following specifications.
Cold Rolled coils pass through a molten Iron-Zinc bath, adding a protective iron-zinc alloy layer to shield from oxidation, this gives a very fine greyish matte finish.
• Galvanneal does not flake off its galvanized coating when formed stamped, and bent. The very fine matte finish allows paint to adhere easily, and is very rust proof; only white to dark grey marks appear if it comes in contact with water.
• Galvanneal sheets offer good paintability, weldability, corrosion resistance, and formability. It is extensively used in the automotive, electric equipment, signage and other industries requiring a metal with good paintability and long reliable service life.
• The galvannealed surface is suitable for exposed and semi-exposed applications and is frequently painted before or after fabrication.
• Product can be ordered in the following specifications.
Cold Rolled coils pass through a molten Aluminum-Zinc, adding a protective Aluminum-Zinc alloy layer to shield from oxidation and provide heat resistance. This results in a coated product with 55% Aluminum, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon by weight. Galvalume offers both corrosion and heat resistance.
Pre-painted coils are a bare metal or corrosion resistant substrate that has paint applied to both sides through a continuous coil coating process providing a uniform paint finish. The metal is unwound, cleaned and chemically treated during the process. One or both sides may then be primed and coated, over cured and rewound as specified.
Our reputation is solid, our strength is Steel!
Living up to our values, Royal Canadian Steel Inc. is constantly looking for ways to improve our products and processes. We have invested heavily in new technology as part of our continual improvement process. The end result is greater efficiency, competitive pricing and a better product. Our reputation is solid, our strength is steel.
Multi-Blanking is when a Cut-to-Length machine incorporates a slitting head. The slitting head allows the steel coil to be cut to a specific width. Multi-blanking is when you cut the steel coil to a specific width in addition to length.
Tension levelling is a continuous process using rollers to elongate the steel remove stress from the coil to ensure a flat stress free blank or sheet.
On time, every time, we’ve got your covered!
Be it international freight forwarding or domestic deliveries, we keep your goods moving.
Our inhouse state-of-the-art laboratory is the driving force to deliver total customer satisfaction. Relying on customer defined requirements and employing ASTM (American Society for Testing Materials / ASTM International) standards for guidance we rigorously test our metal to ensure conformity with mechanical, physical and dimensional properties.
